Home Learning letter to Parents: 21st April
Hello children – we all hope you had a wonderful Easter, enjoying the sunshine and staying safe.

Mrs Talmage had something very strange happen to her when she was baking the other day. Watch the video and see what happened. Does it make you think of a story?

We have added some fun activities and links for you to explore that all link to the story. Maybe you could ask an adult to put some of the things you have been doing on ILD for us to see.

With love from Mrs Wright, Mrs Talmage and Miss Hearn

An exciting challenge
Hello everyone, it’s your Reception Teachers here with an exciting challenge for you all. Fancy making a musical instrument? Using household goods, make an instrument of your choice. You can use pots and pans, paint brushes, recyclable goods, marbles/coins in an old drinks bottle or anything that you like (within reason – sorry parentsJ). Play them and sing a nursery rhyme/song of your choice. Perhaps your adult can photograph and film you, or even join in and become a band? We’d love to see these photos or film clips saved on ILD.

If you want to get crafting, then why not make an elastic band guitar.

You will need: recyclable goods (a blueberry punnet/cereal box etc) and elastic bands. Extras: felt tips, card from the recycling, scissors and sellotape.

Welcome back. We hope you had an enjoyable Christmas break and a Happy New Year! What will we be learning this term? We have an exciting term planned that will start with the story, "Grandpa’s Magic Slippers", where the children will use his magical slippers to “travel” to different exciting places around the world.

Cherry and Apple class have had a fantastic first term at school. We have all enjoyed making new friends and exploring our inside and outside classroom. Orson was a big hit! Although he has now travelled back to planet Zumzee, the children are still building spaceships and writing letters to invite his whole family to visit. We look forward to the adventures of Term Two … whatever they may be.
