🧭 Early Help – What to Expect

Step 1: Share Your Concerns
Speak to your child’s class teacher or contact the school office. You can also contact Swindon Early Help directly. No concern is too small—early support can make a big difference.

Step 2: Initial Conversation
A member of staff will listen carefully and talk through what support may be helpful. With your agreement, we may suggest exploring an Early Help referral.

Step 3: Early Help Assessment (EHA)
If appropriate, an Early Help Assessment will be completed with you. This helps identify your child’s strengths, needs and the support that may be beneficial for your family.

Step 4: Support Plan Created
Together, we will agree a plan of support. This may include help from school, Early Help services or other professionals working together.

Step 5: Ongoing Support and Review
Support will be reviewed regularly to make sure it is meeting your family’s needs. Plans can be adapted as things improve or if further support is required.

💛 Throughout the process, you will be fully involved and supported every step of the way. Our aim is to work in partnership with you to achieve the best outcomes for your child.
